Defeat

I finally emailed
Pareto today. This is a company who finds jobs for graduates. The jobs pay pretty well and aren't overly terrible by all accounts - a friend of mine got a job through them recently. He is enjoying it and has informed me that going through Pareto is innevitable for those of us that have no chance of getting a job we will enjoy. I had been dealing with them previously, but then decided that I would apply for some graduate training schemes instead. However it has come to my attention that I was just kidding myself, so I shall admit defeat and get a Pareto job. The reason I am not keen to get one is because these jobs are in sales, and it's not an area that I am particularly keen to get into as it will all be people with silly
'Toni & Guy' hair cuts, using buzz words, who are all really passionate about what they are doing even though they have no real understanding of what it is. Some may say that it's wrong to stereotype - they're mistaken. Anyway, hopefully they will be able to find me a job and I'm sure I will be able to overlook its short-comings once I start getting paid. I can always look for other jobs once I start working with them anyway, and it's all just more experience. It could be worse as well; it could be sitting in a call centre or going round door to door annoying people (well, I go round and annoy people anyway, but I restrict that to people I know). There, think I've almost convinced myself that it's not quite as terrible as it actually is.
Not really achieved much else today (like an email is an achievement). I signed on at the job centre again - oh how I love it so. On the plus side, I was served by the only hot bird that works there; but malhereusement I was at my most scruffy avec rubbish stubble, general scruff bag clothes and cap and the need of a good shower. Still, I'm sure I came off as charming.
Finally watched
Serenity today. I thought it was most excellent, but then again I am utterly lame when it comes to sci-fi shows and I enjoyed the
series (what little there was of it). I was most surprised at the death of some of the main characters, well one in particular. That was a big spoiler by the way for anyone who is reading this and hasn't seen it but would like to; can't think who that might be, but apologies in any case. Still, on the whole a most enjoyable two hours worth of entertainment.
You mean you could potentially become one of those people that walks round a town hard-selling a random product that noone wants? Cool!
Hehe told you Serenity was well worth watching. Unfortunately I knew the spoiler of character deaths before I watched it. It's a shame and it won't be the same if Whedon was to make another series
Lol nothing quite as 'glamorous' as walking round town hard-selling. I would be sat in an office answering people's questions about a product on the telephone and managing accounts etc - it's business to business sales. Pretty much boredom city.
Yeah Serenity was ace. Was a shame they killed off one of the more amusing characters. Infact they shouldn't kill off any main characters - damn them. Yeah would be a bit odd if they made a new series - still, I'm sure it'd be pretty awesome. God knows I'd downloa... buy it.
You're not going to kill yourself are you?
Your new camera-phone has very impressive quality. If you do kill yourself, be sure to take pictures.
Love, Ian x
Heh sure thing - yeah am most pleased with that camera given that it's predominantly a phone.
I'm soo sorry <3
