I havn't posted for a few days as I have been in lovely Hull from Thursday to Monday. I was due to return to Hull on the friday, but plans changed and I ended up trekking over on the thursday so that I could meet up with a friend who was only there that day.

The bulk of the thursday was spent drinking, climaxing in a night out at Pozition. Only three of us went out - myself, Tom and Louise. My memory of the night is hazy at best, but I do remember having a most excellent evening.

Other than being hungover, I can't remember what we did all friday. I have a feeling we just sat around feeling terrible.

The Strokes playing in HullSaturday, I went to see The Strokes with Ed. They were great, although I wasn't happy about the exorbitant ticket prices. £23 is probably perfectly reasonable for such a well known band, but to my mind, anything over £15 is too much and also it's not every day that I get to use the word 'exorbitant'. I have no idea who the support act was - no one memorable anyway. We turned up a bit late and only caught his last two songs, after which there was a wait of over an hour till the Stokes came on. After the gig, Ed and I went to Hockneys to meet up with everyone else and get a few drinks in. We then returned to the house and watched Cool Runnings.

Derice Bannock: Sanka, you dead?
Sanka Coffie: Ya man.

Sunday was spent making and eating flapjacks and pancakes and doing very little else.

I returned on Monday morning to spend the rest of the week being bored and, more importantly, not spending any money so that I have some pennies for next weekend, which will see part two of the Hull Odessey.

Having just noticed what the date is - Happy Valentines Day for anyone reading this today.
