Monthly Review - January

That's right - a monthly review. I am going to give January a 2/10.

Right, now that's out the way I can get on with the rest of the post. It has been brought to my attention that my site had become plagued by pop-up adds, which is utterly lame. I discovered that the cause of this was the Mini Poll, so it was promptly removed. People were abusing it anyway - fancy voting Amanda as the hottest 'beauty'. You know who you are.

I have engaged in precious little over the past few days. I keep planning to go into town, but that's sort of weather dependent and at the moment nature is against my non-isolationist plans.

I've started watching 'The IT Crowd' which is Channel 4's new sitcom. It's quite amusing and you can read about it on Ian's blog. I've also caught up on Hyperdrive which is a relatively new sci-fi based sitcom on BBC 2. It'd appeal to anyone who likes Nick Frost or is a fan of Red Dwarf.

Other than watching geeky tv shows, I've just been applying for random jobs so that I can save up some cash and apply to be an English teacher in Japan. It'd be amazing and hopefully I will be able to get onto the course and get over there by summer, as another 6 months at home and I will probably die.

I am going to have to go as some sort of terrible children's program has come on the television behind me; it's narrated by Stephen Fry and all I can hear is him asking where 'Pokayo' is hiding. It's making me feel unwell.

2/10?!!! Seriously? I know you've had worse months then this. Can you remember any worse months then this one?

January was the worst month that I can think of. I gave it two points for effort though as it has had some good telly and also it started well (New Years Eve). February has already failed to impress given that it was so cold today - it had best get its house in order.

2/10? I took you to London and that shitty show you like started again! Never pictured you wanting to teach English in Japan, I know a mate that’s out there doing it at the moment. Don't tell me next month you'll want to wash elephants in South Africa or something equally as stupid.

Hmm true London was most excellent. Which shitty show? I like a lot of them.

Yeah Japan looks ace - hopefully they will have elephants there that I can wash in my spare time :)

There are elephants out there that need your help. Dirty elephants. Bad elephants! In your bed!

If Ed _hadn't_ taken you to London, would you of given the month a higher mark? It's downhill from here really.

I can't cope with any monther less than a 3/10. I get two in a row and I keep bleeding out of my ears incontrolably.

    Heh I love elephants.

Lets hope that February bucks its ideas up then for the sake of Ian's ears. Bearing in mind my imminent return to Hull I am sure it will pick up. I admit that perhaps a 2/10 was a little harsh for January. Still, what's done is done.
