You may have guessed that today's title is a complete fabrication and has no relevance to anything. I just thought it would get people's attention - especially Tom's no doubt. Unfortunately for everyone concerned, I doubt Tom is going to be flying anything other than kites for the foreseeable future.

A big lake (like you didn't know)Anyway, here is a brief update as to what the last couple of days has entailed. On friday, I didn't really get up to much but I did go for a nice walk in a local park as it was a sunny day and the puppy needed walking. It was decidedly reminiscent of summer afternoons spent out the back of Thwaite Hall, as there was a footpath through the trees around a large lake. Just like the back of Thwaite Hall, but with a bigger lake and an island in the middle. To commemorate this journey down memory lane, I have included a golden oldie music video based on such "worthless frivolity"...

I spent saturday in London with Rami. It was a most excellent day. We sauntered around the city and went where ever caught our interest. We went to Harrods and dined on sushi. It took a little while to get to grips with the whole concept of grabbing your food from the conveyor belt, but we soon got the hang of it. We were then compelled to sample some Krispy Kreme doughnuts as this just has to be done really. We also went to the Hard Rock Casino so Rami could once again give a fine example as to how his luck far exceeds my own in terms of goodness. We finished off the day by going to the London IMAX cinema. A Tiger SharkWe saw a film called Deep Sea 3D, which was excellent. As the title suggests, it was in 3D and so we were given the huge glasses to wear. It was my first time going to an IMAX cinema so the screen and sound itself were impressive enough. For those of you who havn't been, the screen is probably about the height of 3 double-decker buses. They give a presentation of the sound and lighting before the main feature, which is also quite impressive. To have all this coupled with the fact that it was a 3D film (the first time I had seen a 3D film as well) was great. Sitting there whilst giant Tiger Sharks seemingly swim out of the screen towards you really is quite something to behold. The film itself was a documentary about life at the bottom of the ocean. It was considerably better than I expected and really rather interesting. It was narrated by Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet, which was nice. It also had a nice mellow soundtrack composed by Danny Elfman, which you can sample by going on the film's website. All in all, the film taught us that life at the bottom of the ocean can not only be fascinating and beautiful, but is generally just weird and disgusting.

I haven't really been up to anything today. Just relaxing and filling in forms for my Japan trip. I need to go get half a dozen passport photos done tomorrow for it and then post it all off. I think I shall have to go get a haircut before hand as well. Oh and before I forget it, the Monthly Review for March: I think I am going to give March a 6/10.

London village has so many attractions for such a small farmstead.

I'm liking that music video blog. DJ Format, Duke Spirit... Fish and chips please!

Not being even in the slightest 'with it', are Duke Spirit popular now? I think I have some fashion choices that need to be made...

Heh yeah I don't know about popular, but Duke Spirit are certainly recognised now. I even saw their video on E4 the other day, so they must be reasonably well known. In any case, I am sure they have enough popularity to justify your Duke Spirit t-shirt never again seeing the light of day.
